Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo enjoyed the snow on their US Tour

Earlier this month the Princess and I stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo spent their two weeks in USA for a Teleserye Royals Tour.  After the said tour they head back to the Philippines to continue taping their TV hit series.  They also started promoting the Star Cinema movie 24/7 In Love. Kathryn’s mom Min Bernardo shared some memorable moments from the two teen stars’ tour abroad.

Mommy Min said that aside from it being Daniel’s first time to go to the US, it was also Kath’s first time to see falling snow. “Yung first time niya talaga na makakita ng snow is nung nagpunta kami sa Dubai pero dun sa Alaska pa lang siya naka-experience ng nag-so-snow talaga. Nung dumating kami dun walang snow. Pero nung malapit na kami umalis, nung madaling araw nag-so-snow na so nag-pi-picture-an sila dun, kahit naka-pajama hala, humiga pa sila sasnow! Nag-enjoy sila maglaro dun,” she recalled.

Their Star Magic group also did some sightseeing in Anchorage. “Kasama namin sila Mr. M (Johnny Manahan), pumunta kami sa bundok kung saan may snow. Nag-enjoy sila dun. Mabait rin kasi yung producer dun. Nakakain si Kath dun ng giant crab legs. Masarap naman daw,” she added.

After their shows in California, DJ and Kath enjoyed their free time by going shopping in downtown Los Angeles. “Bumili si Kath ng shoes. Maraming maraming shoes. Yun lang naman kaligayahan niya at saka hindi naman gaano kamahalan yung mga pinipili niya kaya okay lang. Siguro hindi lalagpas $200. Wala pa siguro siyang nabili na yung tipong sobrang mahal. Paramihan sila ng shoes na binili ni DJ. Si DJ naman mahilig sa damit. Kaya kahit siya nagulat na halos isang buong maleta na pala yung iuuwi niya sa dami ng damit! (laughs)” she shared.

Mommy Min added the two would probably have shopped for more pasalubong if they had more time to go around. When DJ saw everything that Kath bought, he joked, “Reading-ready ka na sa ASAP ah!”

Although they were on a tight schedule, Mommy Min said the two teen actors were just happy to have the time to buy new things. “Nagkaroon kami ng free day kaya gusto lang nila mag-shopping.Pagdating sa outlet stores hiwa-hiwalay na kami tapos usap-usap na lang kung anong oras magkikita-kita. Isang buong hapon ng shopping yun pero bitin pa rin sila,” she said.

Kath also got to indulge in her favorite food in the US. “Si Kathryn mahilig sa burgers so pinilit nilang makakain dun sa sikat na kainan dun na parang Jollibee na rin natin, yung In-N-Out burgers. Napilit siya ni DJ na tikman yun,” Mommy Min recalled.

Aside from getting to spend time together abroad, Mommy Min shared that the two definitely have gotten closer and closer as the months go by. The doting mom admitted that she trusts her daughter enough to let her go to tapings by herself now. “Hindi ako 24/7 nakatingin o nakabantay sa kanilang dalawa. So sabi ko na lang sa kanila, if ever magkahulugan kayo ng loob or if the time comes na gusto niyo na maging kayo ng dalawa, lagi kong pinapaalala na huwag nilang kalilimutan ang magandang asal at sabihan naman nila ako,” she joked.
