Korina Baluyut Sanchez or better known as “Korina Sanchez” was born on October 5, 1964 in Hong Kong. She is a daughter of Ramon Sanchez and Celia Baluyut. She is a TV host and an ABS-CBN news reporter/host for TV patrol and DZMM radio.
She studied at Maryknoll College (Which is now Miriam College) and she took up Communications Arts course. She also studied French language at Alliance Francaise de Manille and at the same time, she also
studied at the Programs Philippines Incorporated where she took the Broadcasting course, and soon after, she became a reporter for Television.
Sanches started delivering news for the weather update before she became a field reporter. When ABS- CBN re-opened after Edsa Revolution in year 1986, Korina was one of the first hosts of the network. She
was the host and the head of famous TV programs such as “Magandang Umaga, Bayan” (along with co-host and former Vice President of the Philippines “Noli De Castro”), “Hoy Gising!”, “Balitang K”, “Isyu 101”, and “TV Patrol”.
She also had a team-up with Miss Kris Aquino in the “Morning Girls with Kris and Korina”, a TV talk-show that aired in ABS-CBN. Later after that, Korina had been given a new show which aired weekly in ABS- CBN the “Rated K: Handan a ba kayo”, and ABS-CBN’s new program “Bandila”. Now she is a regular host in TV Patrol (which recently celebrated the 25th year in the service of the Filipino) during weekdays, an ABS-CBN’s TV news and current affairs.
Miss Sanches can be also heard on radio, in DZMM Program entitled “Tambalang Failon at Sanchez”.
