John Estrada on communication with ex-wife Janice De Belen: “Text text lang”

Amid their unsuccessful relationship, John Estrada and Janice De Belen both attended the high school graduation of their daughter Kaila last week, but according to reports the couple avoided each other on the event. “Yes, of course, kailangan namin magsanib pwersa para sa graduation ng aming anak.” Said John.

When asked if they are still having communication he quickly said, “Text text lang”. And when asked if they got to talk to each other he said, “Hindi eh, hindi naman kailangan kaming mag-usap. Ayos naman mga anak namin.” said the actor.

Estrada pressed that he is very proud because their eldest daughter Moira had finally graduated from college. “Masarap, fulfilling ang feeling ang umakyat sa stage dahil siyempre yun ang role natin as a parent—bigyan ng magandang edukasyon ang mga anak natin. Although mayroon din akong mga anak na nag-graduate ng elementary (his son Yuan) at high school this year, iba yung college.” he said.

The kapamilya actor further discloses that Moira is planning to apply for a job in ABS-CBN soon. “Tinanong ko siya, ‘What’s your plan after college?’ ‘Sleep, sleep, sleep.’ Sabi niya pahinga muna ng three to six months. Pero Moira plans to work in a network. I think she’s applying here in ABS-CBN. Communication Arts graduate kasi siya.” said John.

Their daughter Kaila, however, seems to be interested in pursuing a modeling career. “Kamukha ng ate ko. Estrada talaga ‘yan. Ang plano niya dati gusto niya magmodel muna. Hindi ko alam kung itutuloy niya kasi marami akong kaibigan na designers na gusto kumuha sa kanya mag-ramp modelling” he pressed.

When John was asked if he would allow his daughters to enter showbiz, John simply replied, “Wala namang masama sa industriya talaga. Ang maa-advise ko lang, kung gusto nila pumasok, mahalin nila yung industriya at saka yung trabaho nila”, he said.
