After the controversial outburst of Miss Maricel Soriano in the taping of “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin”, the Diamond star camp asked for understanding on the issue as the veteran actress continues to undergo personal challenges and still adjusting following the death of her mother in 2009. Reports say that the Kapamilya contract artist can benefit from undergoing anger management to resolve personal conflicts.
It could be remembered back in 2011 when the veteran actress was sued by two of her former housemaids pointing Maricel had allegedly maltreating them, the complaint was brought to court and later the two camps had been reconciled.
On Monday, reports on Soriano's alleged shouting to Gerald on the set of the upcoming drama series "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin" circulated online. The 47-year-old actress allegedly lost her temper over co-star Gerald Anderson's numerous takes in filming a scene.
The Diamond star's management and that of ABS-CBN's -- which produces the TV series -- have since decided to oust Maricel from the cast of the soap.
However, Star Magic backed Gerald Anderson's "unassailable personal character and professional behavior," following the alleged incident.
Although she has been excluded from the cast of the said soap, she is still gearing up for several big screen projects. Soriano currently has a film contract with local entertainment production company Viva Entertainment, in addition to a three-picture deal with producer Tony Tuviera.
Contrary to the rumors that spread few days ago, the Diamond Star, under her Viva Films contract, is set to star in a project co-starring comedian-host Vice Ganda. Directed by Wenn V. Deramas, the film is with the working title "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy."
The veteran actress is also gearing up for her team-up with award-winning actress Eugene Domingo, for another big-screen project tentatively titled "Mama Mia."
