Anne Curtis made a public apology to Maja Salvador after making Joke in It's Showtime

In yesterday’s episode of ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime”, the box-office princess Anne Curtis had made unintentional joke to Vice Ganda when they were doing the “Sine Mo ‘To” segment.

As part of the show, the It’s Showtime stars were making fun of Vice Ganda as he was flirting with a guy that they selected from the audience. Vhong Navarro had pressed to call Vice “Allan, [as in] Allandi mo!” To which Anne added, “Uy hindi. Siya yata si Maja... Majarot ka!”

Everyone in the crowd had laughed because of Anne’s comment and Vice could not help but say, “Ay, statement. Anne, statement yun!”. In the recent days, Maja has been receiving a lot of negative feedback from press people and the internet due to her rumored romance with Gerald Anderson and being a best-friend of Kim Chiue (Gerald’s ex-girlfriend)

With that incident, and to avoid any negative issues again; Today (January 24), Anne Curtis made it a point to apologize if she had offended Maja with her joke. She made a public apology to the “Ina Kapatid Anak” actress for her “Majarot” joke, adding that it was really intended for Vice Ganda. The actress-host humbly admitted that she should have been more careful not to add fuel to intrigues involving Maja.

She said these words in the middle of their “Sine Mo ‘To” segment today, “But before anything else, bago tayo mag-joke time at mag-play time dito, gusto ko muna mag-publicly apologize kung may na-offend ako kahapon sa joke ko. Hindi ko naman naging intensyon na directly po mag-offend. It was really [meant] towards Vice, it was a joke. Siguro dapat mas naging sensitive ako kung may mga issues kaya I just want to say sorry Maja.”

Meanwhile, Anne’s fans on Twitter admired her for what she did in making up for her bungle.
