Phantom of Opera: Comparable to Karylle’s musical stage play

Karylle Padilla was happy because the Rama Hari musical stage play that she did recently got a good result. She worked with Christian Bautista on the said show. Aside from Filipinos, the musical play has got positive impact from the foreign viewers.

“I was just really happy that all the Filipinos came out to support and watch Rama Hari, even the foreigners. Kapag may standing ovation nangunguna madalas ang mga foreigner at kahit paglabas namin sa lobby ng CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines) at talagang sumisigaw pa rin sila dahil sobrang happy nila,” said Karylle, with a smile.

“Sabi nila sana dalhin nga abroad or foreigners should come over and watch it here kasi napakalaki ng production para ilabas. But more than that kinikilig ako for Ballet Philippines. ’Yung mga staff kasi ’yung mga nagbebenta ng tickets sinasabi nila sa akin na very pleased sila dahil sabi ng mga usher parang Phantom of the Opera ’yung dami ng tao kasi hanggang sa mga balcony.” recounts the young singer-actress.

Miss Padilla discloses she had an extraordinary gift for herself last Christmas, “Gift ko na sa sarili ko ’yung day off. Nagkaroon ako ng days off para magsulat ng kanta, ganyan. Ang tagal ko na kasing hindi nagagawa ’yun para sa sarili ko. Siyempre kailangan mo rin ng quiet time,” shares Karylle.

Meanwhile, when it comes to her family and love life she told a very important thing she learned, “The best lesson about love for me siguro ’yung love for family is just so strong. ’Yung lahat ng barriers, kunwari layo, dahil ’yung mga pamilya ni Mama nasa States, nawawala lahat ng barriers na ’yun. There is no problem too big na hindi malalampasan dahil sa sobrang intense at lakas ng pagmamahal ng isang pamilya,” added the It’s Showtime host.
