Sarah Geronimo talks about the character of Laida on their upcoming movie of John Lloyd “It Takes a Man and a Woman”, that Laida’s life has some sorts of similarity on her real life.

“Si Laida, sa two movies po na nakita natin, ay very naïve. She believes in fairytales, na hindi naman po nalalayo sa akin. Idealistic din po ako. Madaming hinahanap sa pagibig—dapat ganito, ganyan. Pero tulad ng nangyari dito, yung experiences niya at situations na nangyari sa buhay niya, ipinakita how imperfect we are, how imperfect ang buhay natin. That’s the reality. Kailangan tanggapin ‘yan,” she said during the press conference of It Takes A Man And A Woman held at the ABS-CBN Dolphy Theater last, March 17.

The 24-year old singer-actress proved that she has learned her lessons from her past heartbreaks but what’s important is that she became a stronger person because of her experiences.

Time will come you have to let go. ‘Pag ni-let go mo yun… Basta panoorin niyo yung pelikula,” she said with a smile.

She continued that with all her experiences in love it motivates her a lot in portraying the character of Laida, but there are still times that she could not control her emotions when doing scenes and that’s the thing that she feels to get improved.

When asked about when would she get to fall in love again, Sarah simply replied, “Hindi ko naman po masasabi ‘yan. Sabi nga ni Lloydy, ‘You don’t get to choose love, love chooses you.’

She also admitted that while working with John Lloyd Cruz in this project their closeness as friends has grown better. “Sobrang malaking tulong na happy siya. Nadadala niya sa set. Maganda ang friendship namin. Sobrang kumportable kami sa isa’t isa ngayon. Malaking naitulong nun.” she said.

It could be remembered that the actress fell in love with Lloydie when they shot their first movie, A Very Special Love, back in 2008. But the singer-actress was quick to deny that John Lloyd tried to court her at that time.

“Hindi po! Nag-umpisa kami sa magandang friendship. Sa kanya ko naramdaman yung how to be yourself.

However, Sarah admitted that there’s really something about John Lloyd that makes a lot of women fall for him.
