After Prince Jao, Enrique Gil is ready for a sexier image

What’s next after the Princess and I, Enrique Gil who portrays Princess Jao on the said teleserye said it was very meaningful project for him and he is so glad that he made the people happy.

“Sobra. Siguro the biggest yun sa lahat ng projects. Ito talaga first time na kahit saan ako pumunta, Jao ang tawag sa akin. The past year was really good for me. Para sa akin, nakita ko lang na I made more people happy nung 2012. Mas marami akong napasayang mga tao and nakita ko na mas marami akong napasaya kesa sa last, last year,” he said.

The young actor admitted that he got used to his routine working with them, “Well siyempre yung mga taong nakasama ko for so long siyempre maninibago na yung routine mo, hindi na sila yung makakasama mo everyday. It’s going to be a change pero at least we had a good run as a team. Hindi ko maisip eh, hindi ko nga alam, ayoko muna isipin yung pakiramdam kasi alam kong darating eh. Basta masaya kami we did a good show,” he said.

With his growing fame in showbiz career, Enrique admitted that he will never let fame change his humble attitude. “Para sa akin you will never stop getting overwhelmed. Nasa sa ‘yo na lang, it’s how you react to it. Siguro sa pagkatao na lang yun ang masasabi ko. Don’t ever stop thinking that you will not let it get into your head, yung feeling kasi grabe, hindi totoo yun yung masasabi mong sanay ka na. Minsan sanay na pero minsan kahit papano mapapa-wow, grabe pa rin. So ewan ko para sa akin ever since, depende na lang sa tao yun,” shares Gil.

During the last part episodes in Princess and I, the young actor did some shirtless scenes. Gil admitted that it was part of his move to show more mature image.

“Siguro kasi minsan sa mga ibang eksena dahil parang pinu-push nila na you’re leading up, going there na rin. Para medyo may maiba din. I have no idea kasi this year kung magiging ganun na yung roles ko talaga. Hindi ko pa alam kung anong mangyayari eh,” he admitted.

The Kapamilya star revealed he is currently in talks for upcoming projects with the same leading lady. “They’re still working out the details pero hindi pa puwedeng sabihin pero. Basta it’s dalawang shows with the same girl pero hindi pa sigurado,” he said.

Part of his plans for year 2013 include saving up to start his own business. “This year mag-iipon na ako for a business or lupa, yan ang promise ko sa sarili ko. Pagdating sa projects, last year kasi nakapag-dalawang horror na ako so ewan ko, it doesn’t really matter kung horror or hindi, whatever happens, kung anong ibigay sa akin ng ABS-CBN. Basta ibigay nila, sige po gagawin ko yan,” shares Enrique.

He also added that he wants be open minded when it comes to romantic relationships. “Kung kelan ako magkaka-girlfriend? Kung kelan ko feel. Kung kelan ko feel na okay lahat, puwede. Pero ngayon hindi pa talaga. I don’t know pa. Hindi ko alam what kind of girl she would be eh. Hindi ko rin masasabi yun eh. Ewan ko ba,hindi ko alam,” he said.

The 20-year-old actor said he is just like any regular guy when at home. “Simple lang naman. Makulit, as in laging nangungulit, nagpapatawa at saka ewan ako, basta sobrang normal lang ako. I just want to sit down, usually watch TV tapos wala lang, nagpapatawa lang lagi. I’m just a clown. Wala akong pakialam,” said Enrique.
