PSY - Gangnam Style In Manila! at MOA Outdoor Concert Grounds

Since the first time the song was heard in the TV, Radio, and Internet, Gangnam Style was become viral worldwide. Some Kapamilya stars also tried to dance to the tune of this music especially Miss Helen Gamboa that became very popular in youtube.

Psy, the Korean music sensation behind the phenomenal mega-hit, Gangnam Style, is coming to perform at a one-night dance concert slated on Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Mall of Asia Outdoor Concert Grounds in Pasay City, it was announced by Ovation Productions which is partnering with MMI and That’s Ntertainment for the project.

According to Renen de Guia of Ovation Productions and Joed Serrano of That’s Ntertainment, the musical event titled Psy: Gangnam Style In Manila! will also feature an all-star cast composed of some of the biggest and hottest names in local music and entertainment who have been selected and assembled as part of the special Christmas treat for millions of Pinoy fans of the K-Pop superstar.

Among the Filipino artists and performers who will share the same stage with Psy are Kapamilya stars such as Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Pokwang, Aiai Delas Alas. Pooh, K Brosas, and other showbiz personalities like Wally and Jose, Chocolate, and Ate Gay

Psy, who made his debut in the South Korean music industry in 2001, is now ranked among the world’s most popular singers and musicians following the huge success of the K-Pop single, Gangnam Style, both as a song and as a music video on YouTube and other social networks.

The music video has been viewed almost a billion times on YouTube to emerge as the site’s most-watched video and dislodged Justin Bieber’s single, Baby, from the top spot.

After performing at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards last Nov. 11 — during which Gangnam Style received the Best Video award — Psy joined US pop star Madonna on stage during her concert at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, during which they performed a mash-up of the song and her 2008 hit, Give It 2 Me. Psy considered his gig with Madonna as a big event that “topped his list of accomplishments.”

Psy closed out the 40th American Music Awards Show last Nov. 18 with a performance of Gangnam Style, joined by surprise guest MC Hammer.
