Sam Milby was born in Troy, Ohio USA to an American father and a Filipina mother, Sam Milby moved to the Philippines in 2005, and worked in commercials before joining Pinoy Big Brother.  He continues to work for ABS-CBN.

His Musical career was started in 2006 and his first album was entitled Sam Milby (Star Records). 2nd Album was  Love Duets (2009, Star; collaboration with Toni Gonzaga). 3rd Album was "A Little Too Perfect (2009, Star Records) and the 4th Album was "Be Mine" (2011, Star Records).
